iOS 13 Developer Preview

Apple iPhone iOS 13 DeveloperWith the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) announcement on June 3, the developer preview of iOS 13 is now available for ADC members to download and begin testing. We’ll also be supporting this release, but only upon specific request, since we prefer to keep as many of our QA lab mobile devices running retail releases as we can. That said, we’ll almost certainly have a couple loaded up with the new iOS version to support projects that need aggressive platform compatibility testing.

While iOS 13 doesn’t have a formal release date just yet, based on Apple’s usual release cycle it will almost certainly go live in September.

There are interesting features to pique your excitement like:

The increasing popularity of Dark Mode presents an opportunity for application developers to enhance user experience. It offers a visually appealing and user-friendly interface, particularly in low-light environments. However, effective implementation goes beyond simply inverting color schemes. Developers must ensure a seamless and aesthetically pleasing experience for users regardless of their chosen theme (light or dark).

Within the iOS 13 development environment, SwiftUI presents a significant advancement in user interface design. Its intuitive syntax streamlines the creation of visually appealing interfaces. Additionally, the introduction of Combine provides a robust framework for managing asynchronous tasks. These advancements, analogous to the complementary strengths of Batman and Robin, simplify and enhance the application development process.

iOS 13 empowers developers to create next-level apps. From blazing-fast performance and robust privacy features to intuitive design tools like SwiftUI and streamlined asynchronous task management with Combine, building secure and user-friendly applications is easier than ever. ARKit’s advancements unlock innovative augmented reality experiences, while enhanced Apple Maps and SiriKit provide the building blocks for seamless location-based features and voice interactions. Get ready to craft exceptional apps that are both powerful and user-centric.
