Google has officially released Android 10, although the release is starting with Google Pixel devices and will branch out to include other models over the course of the year; historically, carrier uptake can often take a while as well. You can read about the new Android 10 features on their blog, if interested.
In 2019, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL reigned supreme as Google’s top-of-the-line phones. These premium devices boasted powerful Snapdragon 845 processors for lightning-fast performance and a versatile dual rear camera system that delighted photography enthusiasts. They catered to users who craved the absolute best specs and camera capabilities.
Understanding that affordability is also a major concern, Google released the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL in mid-2019. These mid-range options didn’t compromise on what many considered the most important aspect of a smartphone: the camera. They impressively sported the same excellent 12.2MP rear sensor found in their flagship counterparts, ensuring you could capture fantastic photos without breaking the bank. So, if a stellar camera experience was your priority, the Pixel 3a series offered a compelling choice at a more accessible price point.
Android 10 in Our Testing Lab
Weāll begin a limited rollout of Android 10 to a couple of our QA lab devices for testing, although we wonāt be updating all of our Pixels at once. Weāll definitely expand our inventory of testable Android 10 devices over time, however.
To thoroughly assess new devices, we’ll initiate testing with a limited number in our QA labs. This allows for in-depth checks before expanding the test pool. Gradually introducing more devices ensures a comprehensive evaluation of hardware functionality and software compatibility.
Feel free to contact us if you are looking for Android 10 device testing, or are just interested in learning more about the capabilities of our mobile device lab.
